The story of a worshipper man of Bani Israel

In Israel, there was a worshipper who lived in a cave in the mountains. Neither did people see him, nor did he see anyone. He had a spring of water there. He observed fasting during the day and engaged in worship at night without any laziness. Signs of bliss were evident upon him. When Prophet Mosa (peace be upon him) heard about him, he intended to meet him. When he visited during the day, the worshipper was engrossed in prayer and remembrance of Allah. When night fell, he was immersed in supplication to seek salvation in the presence of Allah. After greeting him, Prophet Mosa advised him to be gentle on himself. The worshipper expressed his fear of becoming negligent in divine worship. Prophet Mosa then asked if he had any needs. The worshipper replied, "Ask Allah to grant me His pleasure and satisfaction, and not to incline me towards anyone else." When Prophet Mosa went to Mount tor-e-Sina for supplication, he forgot about the worshipper's request. Allah Himself instructed Mosa about the worshipper's words. Mosa went back to the worshipper and conveyed Allah's message. Allah informed Mosa about the worshipper's status in Paradise and His mercy upon him. Allah praised the worshipper for his acceptance of divine decree and remained content despite severe trials. Allah assured forgiveness for the worshipper's sins, filling the earth, heavens, and all in-between with mercy even if they were to be as vast as oceans. When Prophet Mosa conveyed this good news to the worshipper, he fell into prostration, thanking and praising Allah, until his soul departed from his physical body.
